I was looking for a copy of the movie Billy Budd on amazon.com and came upon this copy for sale for $176,468. The same seller had other DVDs selling for $117,645. Software glitch or is this guy feeling lucky? I picked the DVD up from another seller for considerably less.

This is quite common for private sellers, it isnt from Amazon. The Bestbuy marketplace had a $3000 HDMI cable a while back. I think they hope people accidentally buy it, there may be more nefarious purposes also.

I have seen this on Ebay for years ..... not like it would survive challenge to Paypal .... they are quick to refund $$ and bitch slap clowns like this

i got to thinking, is this a way people are laundering money or selling drugs? Say someone wants some drugs, the drug dealer says go to ebay and buy item x and then your get your stuff.
