Bohman and I got a DVD video camera and I need some technical help. I'd like to use the camera get video clips that can be inserted into a power point presentation. is there any way to do that? I can't seem to figure it out.

Simple....First save the file to your pc

Then in powerpoint go to the menu bar and select "insert"

From the insert menu click on movies and sounds

then click add movie from file.

All done! :coffee:

i've tried to do that from the mini dvd but the file extension is weird. power point doesn't recognize it as a video file. does the file extension change if I save it to the hard drive?

Are you channeling it through proprietary video software that probably came with the recorder? If so, that's why PowerPoint isn't recognizing it.

The extension should be .wav. See if it will let you save it as such.

your going to have to save it to your PC first. ppt isn't going to let you take it from your camera.

An info file associated with a .VRO video file. The .VRO file contains the video stream and the .IFO file contains various scene and timing information. This is different from a .VOB file where that information is included in the file. Several manufacturers use .VRO/.IFO files. If present, the file VIDEO_TS.IFO consists of control and playback information for the entire DVD. VIDEO_TS.IFO is known as VMGI (The Video Manager Information file). This file is required to be present on a DVD-compliant disc.
Not that any of that makes any sense to me, I just looked it up.
