Dyson vacuum cleaners

Four*Leaf*Farm

RIP Quinn
I hate mine. I hate all vacuum cleaners really... But anyway, mine needs to be fixed or looked at or something...Are there any specialists out there?

There used to be a vacuum repair store in Waldorf, in the strip mall just south of Sears. Can't remember the other store in there, or even if he's still there. Oh, now that I'm thinking about it, it might be an ice cream store now.... haven't been up there in a long time.

Call Maryland Sewing and Vacuum in Clinton Maryland - I have had a few items repaired in there and they did a great job.

We have a Dyson Complete - that thing is bad azz for a vacuum cleaner. What is going on with yours?

Well.. it makes this horrible loud noise sometimes.. and it's so loud, it scares the crap outta me and the kids... there seems to be no reason for it...
It's a great vacuum when it comes to suckin' up every last loose fiber in the carpet.. I just can't handle the random alarm it gives off for no reason.
The most recent problem is this... I went underneath to clear all the hair, dental floss, yarn, etc. because I was getting no suction.. and since then, I've gotten no suction and a loud vibrating noise... It sounds real sick..
It works fine when I use the wand.. no problems sucking up dirt then.

Nope, still there. We went to Value City Furniture a couple weeks ago and walked by....He sells used ones, too. :howdy:

I know the carpet floor beater bar has a clutch - in other words, if it catches a throw rug and it gets bound, instead of burning a belt, the clutch will engage. The sound is like someting loud is grinding... is the bar turning?

You can also take is basically apart; all the ports for the dirt pop off incase something gets stuck...

There are 2 vacuum repair stores - one in Lexington Park on Great Mills Road and one in Waldorf in the strip mall that Shoppers is in. It's over near Value City Furniture. I've used both places and feel they both are honest repair places.

I hate that clutch thingy sound.. it's so alarming. Is there any way to disengage that 'clutch'?
I begged my hubs to look at it and he got it to suck better...it still makes that vibrating noise for no reason sometimes..

In My Opinion
electrolux,, actually Aerus is the way to go.
I have the Guardian, about 5 years old now, never had a problem and has not lost any of its power.

I say Aerus because thats what it is now, it was Electrolux when I bought mine, but Eureka bought the right to the electrolux name and started putting it on their crap, the original electrolux became the Aerus.

crabcake

But wait, there's more...
I love my Dyson ... had it almost two years now, I think, and it still works great! :yay: :yay:

Just like anything else, one of the lot is bound to have an issue. Maybe you got a lemon. Have you called Dyson's customer service about it?

I just took a bissel back to Walmart yesterday. It kept falling a part after only a couple of months. Told hubby not to try to fix it any more was taking it back and see what they say. Guess what we found out, it was on a recall list. No wonder it kept falling a part and hubby kept blaming me for being too rough with it. Any way, they gave us a refund.

Yep - we love our Dyson. Our Sister-In-Law liked ours so much she bought one and has thrown the other ones away!

My mother has 2 Electrolux's; one is 23 years old, the other was close to 40 when it was put to rest!

Now, if my Dyson makes it that long I will be happy!!! But I do have to say, we have had it for about 2-3 years and it works like day one... we have had other fall apart after the same amount of use... just 20 more years before I can talk vacuum smack with the Electrolux!
