Has anyone here ever had a problem not getting your money back after you returned an item? If so what did you do and how long did it take to resolve it?

I have never had any luck getting money back even when I used paypal. Ebay has so many scam artists bottom feeding in there that I rarely use it these days.

I've bought everything from a few dollars worth of parts, to the car I'm driving with no problems. Several years ago I bought a new mixer for my PA system. It didn't work. The company I bought it from gave me a prompt refund (PayPal) as soon as I gave them a UPS tracking number for the return. Then they sent me a small pair of their own brand PA speakers, which I still use to this day.

If you paid with paypal, it can take anywhere from 15-30 days depending on the situation. If the person just won't respond to you and wont refund then you file the complaint. Paypal sends them an e-mail with options to settle or contest. If they do not respond to paypal, it is settled there in your favor. The person I believe has 14 days to respond. If they contest the charge, it will take up to 30 days.
