Last night coming home from Columbia. Came in 3's and got lucky on the third.

1. Cell phone fell off the bike on 32. Toast!!!

2. Spilled gas all over the bike.

Okay I'm thinking be careful these things come in threes.

On Rt2 BMW came up on me. Thought I would be careful slow down. Let him pass at the next light. Saw a minivan on the side of the road, one right in front of the BMW, that is now in front of me. Heard a THUD, heard another and saw the BMW jump and wobble. Then saw the deer spinning in the road in front of me. Missed it by inches.

Bravo to the BMW rider. I wouldn't have stayed upright.

I know Pete will get a kick out of this.. but I think you saw ALL the reasons BMW's are so expensive.

I've known four people that have struck deer in the last year on BMW's (your story being the fourth) and they have all stayed upright. Two of them were +50 MPH. Two riders right away said it, Thanks to the suspension or they would have been sliding down the road on their azz. Between the "weird" different suspension (especially on the front end) and the integrated ABS, combined they make one hell of controllable bike, in what would normally be unctrollable circumstances..

Thats just wrong. Positive note on my bad ride. I now own a new Nav Razr phone. Unfortunately I had to pay for it but I was looking at them last week after seeing the ad on TV.

If they give turn by turn directions.. can hook that up to the intercom system and get directions through the helmet speakers..
