Electricians Anyone

Alright we have looked at the house in Bushwood more carefully and have decided that if he is not in Code violation we will have to hire an electrician to put grounds into the outlets and ground fault interupts into the outlets in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Anyone have any good, cheap electricians they know of and could recommend? We will have to get estimates and figure out when and what we can afford and what we can do on our own. Hubby is an electrical engineer but is busy so can't rewire all of what needs to be done on his own.

I would appreciate any and all recommendations and he is asking around at work. Hopefully we won't have to pay and arm and both legs to get it done, and still have it done before we move in there.

Minor Buckler does nice work for reasonable prices (my dad's cousin works for them so I think I get a discount though)

Actually I would avoid All Tech. They did the work on our house and their electricians are very unporfessional. One of them yelled at my father who had just recently had a stroke. After complaining about this, we never received an apology, but a mysterious hole ended up being punched in our siding. I'm not saying one of them did it, but it was an odd coincidence.

I'd really think about putting a ground fault in the kitchen. I have them in the basement of my home. I had a freezer plugged into the ground fault outlet. A couple of months ago, the ground fault plug tripped during one of the storms. I didn't discover this until it was too late and the freezer & contents were ruined. If you can keep the ground fault off of the fridge, that may be best. At least something to think about.

I think they are a great idea to have in the bathroom.

Thank you all for the suggestions, hubby will start calling around soon I am sure. Wish us luck in finding someone reliable, and on the less expensive side.
