It's tought to find a "good" martial arts school.
I know what a "real" dojo is. Out in California years ago, my Cousin was a high belt rank in a dojo that practiced Judo. I'm talking
traditional dojo. From the meditation all the way to getting knocked on your butt without warning, for goofing off or not paying attention. That is how to teach a "real" martial arts discipline; and how to run a school. But
there are, of course, limitations; and one will quickly learn what those limitations are.
They had their fun too. They had car washes to raise money for the school and to go on vacations as a group. The whole group went to Hawaii a couple times in the summertime over the years. The students knew when to be serious; and they knew when it was okay to goof off. But if all you can find is "Cobra Kai" kinda stuff, keep looking.
