Last week I spent four hours attending "all hands" meetings talking about the future that really didn't answer a thing.

This is pretty funny, we had an all hands Q&A session last week , it didn't get answered but one of the questions posed was "am I allowed to take a vacation, or will it put me on some fire this employee list?"

Thats exactly what happened with the first email, guidance went out that said DO NOT RESPOND.

I'm glad I am retired. My total gross is half what I was making, but let's face it: if it weren't for the fact that what we do supports the war-fighter, it's a pretty miserable way to make a living.

Since I only got 25 in I'll only get 1/4 of what I make now but that will be a lot with higher contractor pay too boot.

The benefit isn't nearly as good as if I get fired. If I get fired for any reason than disciplinary I get pension immediately, keep health care and at 57 get the social security supplement payment.

If I do deferred I just get my annuity at 57.

Being RIFFed would be a really great deal.

You have to have at least 30 years to qualify for the FERS supplement.
