Emailing pictures?

Maybe someone can help me figure this out. How do you go about emailing a whole folder of pictures to someone? I have tried to right click and use the send to option but that didn't work. If anyone could help me with this I would appreciate it...Thanks!

Make a zip (compressed) folder then email that.

My boyfriend tried to do that and it did not work. My friend also says that she has tried it that way and it didn't work for her either. When I get home from work I will try to do it myself and see if I can get it to work.

Always worked for me. What email are you trying to send it with?

Check your picture size, anything larger than 1024x768 and 75 dpi is making the file size too large, and yours/theirs e-mail server is probably rejecting them because of the attachment limitation.

If all the recipient is going to do is view them, set the size to the above, zip them and e-mail them.

How do you change the picture size?

How do you change the picture size?

Open Paint, click options, click resize, and go from there.

Why not use a file hosting service? www.picasaweb.google.com is google's image hosting service, with a downloadable app that scan's your computer and auto-uploads any pictures it finds.

(It is configurable to only do it when you want, and also to which folders it chooses...aka c:/pictures/nudehoneymood won't show up)

If I have a lot of pictures I put them on a cd and mail them.

Looks like Yahoo has a 20mb attachment size limit, so you may want to check the size of the zipped folder. Reducing the size/quality of the pics will reduce the size of the overall folder (as mentioned). If the recipient is on a different email service, you have to consider what their limits are as well.

How do you change the picture size?

You can also use a program called "PIXresizer" (free) - there are two tabs, one for "Work with one file" and "Work with multiple files"

You set the attributes of the picture size you want (physical size in pixels) and set what output format you want and other things if you wish. If you do multiple files you put them in a folder, and select that folder as the "Source" then you set another folder as the "Destination"...

When you click "Save Pictures" it resizes the pics for you in the Desitination folder of your choosing. I would zip this folder up and e-mail it.

About these file hosting websites, how do they work?

Yup, they are easy, create an account at photobucket, upload the pics you want, set to private or public for others to see. You can give the person the password if you want it to be "private". Add to it when you feel like it.
