Do any of you all have experience with Vets performing this procedure? If so, any suggestions on who to take my pup to? Thanks

you could go to the eye care center in Huntingtown!! They are great!

some vets will do it..... I had my cats done at Tidewater by Dr. B over 10 yrs ago...

also have a dog with a mild case of it now... but not to the point of sx.

What kinda dog do you have?

I have a Shar Pei / Pit. His eyes were bothering him a little but on Sunday he woke up and would not open them. I am pretty sure that Stevie Wonder sees a little better than my pup right about now. I have an appointment with Breton Vet Hospital for this afternoon but was curious if anyone on here has used anyone else in the Southern Maryland area. Huntingtown is a bit of a drive for me but if they are the best, the drive would be worth it.

I live down there also.... but have no issue driving up there. I take three of my dogs up there for eye certifications.

Glad to hear you have an appt today..... this way if it has caused an ulcer on the cornea.. they can start treatment.

:huggy:.... its the shar pei side that causes this

Sure is. I had a pure bred Shar Pei a few years back but the surgery was done before I picked him up. This guy just has a bit too much Shar Pei in the face....

Are you talking about Dr Anne Weight that has an office in MASH?

yes..... AND they have another dr there... cant remember his name... but he is AWESOME!!!!! All three dogs saw him this month..... I love him!

I love Dr Weight- she is the one that worked on Sophie's eyes. I have always heard good things about the other DR there though I have never met him.

he was awesome!!!! he really went above and beyond with their eye exams.... I even learned that Crackie has the start of cateracts in one eye where the fibers come together.... we will keep an eye out to see if they progress...

hands down.... I would go there for any eye issues.

Dr Weight is the BEST IMO. She took care of Meat Ball's eyes when she had Uvitis. What is Entropion? I'll look that up. Good luck to your Pup Golf Nuto. I just looked it up, and it looks painful!
