How awesome was this!!
Over eight million people have now viewed the 7-year-old cancer survivor’s big play on YouTube and at Wednesday night’s ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, voters gave Hoffman the award for “Best Moment.” Jack attended the show with his family and accepted the award with his father, Andy. Andy thanked ESPN, Nebraska and all the fans who have helped bring national attention to pediatric brain cancer.
After Andy finished speaking, his son wanted to say a few words.
“This is super duper awesome,” he said. “Thanks for the trophy. I’m glad that you are all now on Team Jack and I know with you we can’t lose.”
Hoffman was reunited with Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez, who was there as a nominee for “Best Play” for his 76-yard run against Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game.
