HELP..
I have issues with the BSOD and can not figure out the problem.

When I get the BSOD, I do a warm reboot and check my Event Viewer..
There I see Red "X"s and a notice of what happened..

Is this the "reason" for the BSOD??
Does the Event Viewer indicate what caused the BSOD to occure?
The BSOD code says the "cause" is new software, hardware, spyware or a virus.
Kinda covers EVERYTHING....

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need some help before I give up and reload WinXP.

It is not a heat issue, or new hardware..have just printers and a scanner...
PC is not that old...was custom built by CompUSA and works fine when it is not crashing.

If the Event Viewer does not indicate the cause of the crash, where can I find that info?

Thanks....

I just might shoot it now and save me the time to re-install WinXP..

The event viewer indicates I have issues with ATI..no longer using..have new video card/software
Also indicates conflicts with Symantic..I no longer use Norton, I use McAfee...

Anyway that there are lingering software components that I cant find..and how do I find them?

regedit

I've still got control components for my nVidia card that I replaced with an ATI card.
