if you will
Bummer!

Yeah, I've thought about taking the car to a circuit track, like Summit Point. But I guess it hasn't been a priority. LateApex has, according to his previous posts. That would suck, wrecking your car at a track event. It makes me wonder if you can buy a special insurance policy to cover a day at the track?

I have taken two of my cars down the drag strip at MIR, but that's a little less risky than going all out on a road course.

According to REALTV, insurance will NOT cover the damage.

On REALTV, it was two Vettes that bit the dust.

Well, I figure that your regular car insurance won't cover it. But I was wondering if any insurance companies were in the business of issuing policies for those taking their cars to the track. I mean, there are a ton of people that do this on a regular basis, and there should be a market for it. Summit Point, for example, has a "Friday at the track" event on several Fridays throughout the year where people drive their cars around the course.

Sure, the insurance would be expensive. Maybe a few hundred dollars for just a half-day. But I figure there has to be *something* out there....

I would agree with you there. I never looked it up since I don't drive on those courses.
