When I got to boot camp in San Diego, there were so many Filipinos, I thought they flew us to some island in the Pacific. Probably 40% of the staff at RTC was Asian.

All of the staff at the USCG Admiral's headquarters on Governor's Island were Filipino enlisted men. There were at least 4 male staff and then there were the females that were not enlisted that took care of laundry, house cleaning, etc.
