The student who dramatically shut down Milo Yiannopolous’ speech at DePaul University last night has claimed the controversial speaker’s views on race and feminism are to blame for the Charleston shootings – and has vowed to continue halting “hate speech”.

Speaking exclusively to Heat Street, he said: “This is not a point of shutting down free speech, it’s the point of shutting down hate speech” and promised to “continue to do so long as there’s anything that’s happening that threatens my safety”.

He added: “When I went, I was open to listen to what was being said, I was open to listen and try to understand.

“But when it’s coming from a point of ignorance, when you make these blatant statements about feminists, when you make blatant statements about the LGBTQ community, when you make statements about black people – then it becomes a problem, because when you use this kind of hatred people like us end up dead.

DePaul should be sued. It's complete bull#### that they allowed these animals to take over and threaten the speaker, then arrested the guy who was videoing it.

Chicago is such a garbage pit. It once was on my list of cities to visit but now I wouldn't set foot anywhere near that ghetto.

but there is nothing in socialism about free speech. It can have it, or it can't. There have been socialist countries with quite a bit of liberty, though many not. That's not "socialism" remit.

What this is and always has been and will remain is Stalinism. Thought control via control of language. Every time they pass a law that outlaws a word, that's Stalinism.

No you didn't. Not even close.

Don't try to toy with me, kid. I've lived in Norway off and on for 30 years..built a house there...my Norwegian son is a successful IT guru at age 23. I know a "little bit" about some of those countries that have many socialist attributes. But they are NOT socialist countries.
