Explosives testing at Dahlgren?

Can anyone tell me if there is a public forum anywhere to discuss the LOUD and very disruptive explosions coming from Dahlgren?

I am new here so pardon me if I sound a tad put off. I was not aware of the testing.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center at Dahlgren is doing some really important work with naval weaponry. Just think of it as the sound of freedom. They only fire during daylight hours and during the week.

Ordnance refers to artillery or military weapons.

Okay, not to be rude, but how could someone possibly not know that they test ordnance at Dahlgren?

Wasn't there a bunch of folks a while back having a fit over PAX River Naval AIR Station and all the aircraft flying around?

The only thing that even remotely bothers me is when Calvert Cliffs is running a siren test when I am driving down Route 4! I know they run tests but it still freaks me out!

Years ago I attended a presentation by one of the Dahlgren family - she explained Dahlgren basically was started when NOS did not have adequate test span area. I know the boaters were concerned down by Sweden Point because there is the burning point from NOS (NSWC). I could go on and on about the history - my daughter lived close to Andrews flight path - other daughter by Sea-Tac flight path - If I can get use to that - you will be able to get use to the testing -
