Extreme Knee Pain

Hello all-

I just entered my 24th week in my pregnancy and my right knee is killing me. I can't remember twisting it or hurting it so my question is this...has anyone experienced this during pregnancy before? It's internal pain in there but when I push on the spot that's hurting me, it hurts worse (I know, don't do that). Has anyone else had these problems?

The pain started Sunday and has gotten increasing worse over the past 4 days.

Thanks for any help you can give :)

Knee Pain

Hi there,
I have a 2 month old, so pregnancy is still pretty fresh on the brain, I don't remember having specific knee pain though. I'm fibromyalgia so I tend to stay achy but nothing like your describing, I would call your doctor - especially since it's getting worse. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, goodluck in your pregnancy :)

Baby might be pressing on the sciatic nerve

sciatic nerve
–noun Anatomy. either of a pair of nerves, the largest in the body, that originate in the sacral plexus of the lower back and extend down the buttocks to the back of the knees, where they divide into other nerves: the sciatic nerve and its branches innervate large areas of the pelvis, leg, and foot.

Lay on your left side for a couple of hours till baby moves off of it

Good luck

Thanks! This little one is so much more active than my first...lord knows WHAT he'll end up breaking in there! But the ladies who work in my doctor's office are extremely unhelpful and I try to get as many educated answers BEFORE calling them 'cause their only answer to ANY question is "go to the emergency room". They sent me there for a UTI after I simply asked them to page the doctor to call me because I already knew what was wrong with me. I could call and ask if it's okay to take Benadryl for allergies and their answer is ALWAYS "Go to the emergency room".
