And a great big thank you...

to Vrai for turning this painting :dork: into a :diva: ...

I so owe you for all the help, Vrai. :smooch: It came out even better than I could have imagined. :yay:

Thanks. I picked them out myself. :diva: Both colors match colors in the bedding to a 'T' and I'm tickled pink. :yay:

Without seeing it like that (done) I would be too afraid to try the color combo. It looks great and now I can try something like that myself when the new walls go up. I've always wanted RED or redish. Perfect. :yay:

Believe me, I was scared witless by the colors at first, but once it started going up, I knew I had made the right choice. I wanted red, but not too much, so I only did the one wall in that color and the rest in an antique yellow. Good thing too, because it took two coats and almost a gallon of paint to cover that one wall in red.

And anyone interested in the specifics...

The bedding and valances are from Waverly's "Garden Image" ensemble. Both paint colors came from Lowe's and are from their Waverly collection: the red is "Sweet Rosewood" and the gold is "Antique Yellow."

I dunno...

...that hard wood still looks like carpet to me.

:lmao:

What's with the yellow? Yellow is bad. There is no good yellow. Love the red with the dark furniture. Maybe too dark w/o the yellow? Nice work, ladies.

I got bold last year and painted from my dining room all the way through my kitchen a deep cranberry red. I have a black china hutch and the chairs to my table are black and my appliances are black. My cabinets are oyster white, and from the other wall in the dining room and the rest of the way around the living room is tawny. It looks really good and I'm so glad I did it! Jazz yours is a masterpiece!
