You should be able to login using your Facebook account again. This is just one way to use one or more of your existing Social Media accounts to login so you don't have to remember Yet Another Login.
Once you have logged in using your forum's user/pass, just go to Your Account-->Connected Accounts. Once there, you can associate your account with as many of the listed options as you like. I use this all the time for this site and others since I am always logged in to Google.
