This just happened last night. I was on FB and all of a sudden a window came up that said I have been temp. locked out of my account. It said to get my account I had to verify using ID, which I did. (blocking out all personal info) Then someone said to change my password, which I did. I also emailed FB Team and said my acct has been hacked, and let them know of the problem. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I am reading online it takes months to get your account back. It won't even let me delete my account.. I don't know what else to do! I just want my account back (be able to log in) or delete it completely!! Any help/ suggestions!?? Thanks in advance!!

In My Opinion
When they did that last change I played with it for a little bit, With little trouble I was able to get into other peoples accounts, (not logged in).
Even though their settings were for private, I got in and went through their pictures and everything else on their pages.

I pulled all my personal pictures off my page so there was nothing there, stripped all the information then shut it down.

If you were able to see pictures, it is because they had them open.

You should be okay if you change your password and make it a strong one. Unless they re-wrote FB code, they shouldn't still have access to your account once you change your password and they'll have moved on to someone elses account so it will take them a while to get back around to hacking you again. This is why you should change all your passwords every so often. It's a PITA, but it makes it harder for the hackers to get in.

No need to delete your account. Make sure your antivirus is up to date and run a deep scan. THEN change your password. If the antivirus finds anything, especially a keylogger, change all passwords on the computer.

Never trust a popup that asks you to input your account info. Easiest thing to do is log off and run AV. That takes way less time than trying to recover an account that has been hacked, or an account that has been locked for investigation.
