Yep, the same laws apply to women as they do men. Just goes to show that anybody in an abusive relationship should get out of the relationship, regardless of their gender. However, I do believe the numbers are much higher for women being abused, beaten, and murdered by men than for men being abused, beaten and murdered by women. :shrug: Hasn't there been several instances in St. Mary's County in the past few months alone of women being murdered by men they had restraining orders against? I haven't heard of any men in the county being murdered by women that they had restraining orders against. It's tragic that any kind of abuse is tolerated in today's society.

It's tragic that any kind of abuse is tolerated in today's society.

Restraining orders don't work.....

My point is that no matter who is being abused, the abused can't defend themselves without a load of BS from the law.
