Factory Card Outlet scam

My daughter purchased 8 Thomas the Train balloons from them online and had called the Waldorf store to see if they'd blow them up for my grandson's party on Saturday. She was told yes and I met her at the American Legion Hall on Rte. 925 an hour before the 12 o'clock party to take them to be filled.

I entered the store at 11:20 with balloons and the "online" receipt in hand and was promptly told there would be a 2 hour wait. There were 4 other people ahead of me in line and I questioned the 2 hour time. I worked in the car business for over 20 years and we blew up balloons all the time so I know how long it would take to blow up 8 balloons and string them.

The response I got was that there were other orders to fill and was again told the wait was approximately 2 hours. I told the guy I saw 4 others ahead of me and it would take no more than 5-7 minutes to blow up and string the 8 balloons my daughter had purchased. He again said 2 hours and I asked if I could blow them up myself and then the SCAM appeared when I was told I could purchase one of their party balloon tanks and fill them myself.

My daugher was told the charge to blow up the balloons would be approximately $10 which is a scam in itself, but to be told it would take 2 hours just so they can sell the party tank for $30 is pure BULLSH*T.

BOYCOTT the Waldorf FACTORY CARD OUTLET store!!!!!!!

Have you written their headquarters? Considered picketing? Called the media?

I think the wait time is pretty standard there. For my sons birthday I purchased balloons in the actual store and still had an hour wait time until they were filled. And this was on like a Tuesday since I bought them for his actual birthday (not party day).
