Fall in the Mountains

Thought I would share some beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway in and around Cherokee, North Carolina.

The colors have not even peaked yet. Another week and they should be at peak, but they are really beautiful.

Me and a bud went to Sw. Pa this weekend and it was breathtaking, all the way down to about Frederick.........our's will peak around Halloween here.

The higher elevations here will probably peak in a week or so but the lower will be in mid-November or even later depending on our weather. We usually have fall color from the first of October thru Thanksgiving and it is so pretty at the different elevations. I remember SW Pa in the fall, we lived there for a long time, but glad to be here in the mountains now.

I rode out to Skyline Drive yesterday.

We're taking a train ride this week end from Cumberland Md. through Frostburg to see the fall beauty. Hope the camera works I'll try and post some of the pictures, but don't count on it. The camera takes fit's, worse $1200.00 we've ever spent. CANNON Yuk!!!
