Chuckster you are right in those aspect. But just to be the devil's advocate in these aspects pertaining to life in general. We turn our backs to instances all the time thinking they are done, and it fires back up again, not knowing,and then blows up in our face. We let our gaurd down in relationships/life and we get destroyed in parts and never can be rebuilt the same again. We give money to those, to pay bills, or help them out, and they use the money to buy drugs/alcohol all the time. We ask for help from those who are our "supposive" friends and they run when it the heat rises.
I am sure you see where I am going with this. But...just saying. Not saying ANY of it is right. Because NONE of it is. Just stating that it happens and unfortunatly EVERYONE needs to calm their butt down before they do something they regret. (ie: nuking the west coast..which in turn will ONLY cause retaliation..as you know)
People who are in power dont think about the little man, such as you are I who are in danger here. Or the innocent in Korea, Iraq, etc. They only think pissheaded and hot and bothered, and want to HURT. No matter the cause. Its unfortunate but human nature has become evil. (that should be in relevance to the religion section too..
) So...yes, our tax dollars will pay..unfortunate to blood-shed, but...would you rather fight than flight? Just saying.

WASHINGTON – One day after federal officials told American families to stockpile three days of food and water and ready plastic and duct tape to seal off a safe room in the event of terror attacks, FBI Director Robert Mueller said Americans should go about their business, but be alert.
Mueller and CIA Director George Tenet appeared before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday to discuss worldwide threats. Committee Chairman Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., ribbed the officials about news reports Tuesday indicating that the Department of Homeland Security was recommending the stockpiling duct tape and plastic.
Roberts said his wife had called him Tuesday and asked, "'What did you do with the duct tape and plastic you used to use to cover the El Camino?" Roberts said that after reading the news reports, "She was quite concerned that as Chairman of the Intelligence Committee I had not told her to do this."
"What advice would you offer the man or woman in the street other than to get out of the city?" Roberts asked.
"I would start by saying, Mr. Chairman, that we have to put this in perspective," Mueller said. And despite the risk, "It is our belief that Americans should go about their business and not cancel plans that they may have." Instead, Mueller said he would call on Americans to be alert for things that look like potential risks and to report those risks to the proper authorities.
Top federal officials have been criticized for putting out terrorist warnings without instructions for what citizens should do. Federal officials briefed reporters Monday on the plastic wrap and other recommendations advising families to prepare a "disaster supply kit" including: 3 gallons of water a person, food for at least three days, a battery-powered radio, a change of clothes, spare car keys and cash.
As usual, one department over-rules another.
