PGPD Fatal Collision in Lanham Under Investigation

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Lanham on Friday night. A passenger in one of the involved vehicles, 65-year-old Gladys Addrah of Upper Marlboro, was killed.



On December 31, 2021, at approximately 10:20 pm, patrol officers responded to the 9300 block of Good Luck Road for a collision involving a car and an SUV.



The preliminary investigation reveal
ed the victim was a passenger in a car travelling eastbound on Good Luck Road and the involved SUV was heading westbound. For reasons that are now under investigation, the SUV’s driver crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane, colliding head on with the car. Addrah was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later. The car’s driver was transported with non-life-threating injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
