On 5/21/2019 at approximately 1547 hrs Trooper from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack responded to the intersection of N/B RT 15 @ Angleberger Rd for a two vehicle collision with injuries. The on scene investigation revealed that vehicle #1, a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, was stopped at the intersection of W/B Angleberger Rd at Rt 15 N/B. Vehicle #1 was operated by Doris Janet Kinnamont, 80, of Walkersville, MD, the sole occupant. Vehicle #2, a 2004 Dodge Ram P/U truck, was traveling N/B Rt 15, approaching Angleberger Rd, in lane #1. Vehicle #2 was operated by Jacob lee Hanvey, 23, of Emmitsburg, MD, the sole occupant. The operator of vehicle #1 failed to yield the right of way to vehicle #2 and attempted to cross the N/B lanes of Rt 15 from Angleberger Rd. Vehicle #1 was struck by vehicle #2 on the driver’s door as vehicle #2 continued N/B on Rt 15. The operator of vehicle #1 was pronounced deceased on the scene. The operator of vehicle #2 was transported, by ambulance, to Frederick Memorial Hospital with non- life threatening injuries. The on scene investigation is complete and all lanes of Rt 15 are open.
