PGPD Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Fort Washington Under Investigation

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is working to determine the circumstances of a fatal collision involving a pedestrian this weekend in Fort Washington. The deceased pedestrian is 27-year-old Quintin Gaston of Fort Washington.

On August 7, 2021, at approximately 8:00 pm, patrol officers responded to Indian Head Highway at Livingston Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. Gaston was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene and was not injured.

The preliminary investigation revealed Gaston was crossing Indian Head Highway in a crosswalk when he was struck in the southbound lanes.
