The department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred Monday evening in Largo. The deceased pedestrian is 40-year-old Barkha Khadka of Landover. The driver of the striking vehicle did not remain on the scene. Investigators have since recovered a potential vehicle of interest in this case. Efforts continue to identify the driver.
On November 22, 2021, at approximately 6:55 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Medical Center Drive and Shoppers Way for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian.
The preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Medical Center Drive struck Khadka as she attempted to cross the street. Khadka was taken to an area hospital where she died a short time later.
