PGPD Fatal Shooting in Glenarden Under Investigation

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Glenarden. The victim is 47-year-old Marquette Best of Bowie.

On October 13, 2021, at approximately 2:05 pm, officers responded to the area of Ardwick Ardmore Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Highway for a reported shooting. Once on scene, officers located Best inside of a car suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.



Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect(s) in this case.
