PGPD Fatal Shooting in Laurel Under Investigation

Homicide Unit detectives are working to make an arrest in a fatal shooting Saturday afternoon in the unincorporated portion of Laurel. The victim is 33-year-old Antoine Lee Riley of Laurel.



On July 24, 2021, at approximately 1:00 pm, patrol officers responded to the 13300 block of Laurel Bowie Road for a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they located the victim outside suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite attempted lifesaving measures by responding officers, Riley was pronounced dead on the scene.



Detectives do not believe this to be a random shooting and are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
