Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man Thursday evening in Temple Hills. The victim is 18-year-old Tyreke Williams of Virginia. A second adult male was also shot. He suffered what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
On April 15, 2021 at approximately 4:15 pm, patrol officers responded to the 4200 block of 28th Avenue for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located Williams in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A second victim was located nearby suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect(s) in this case.
