PGPD Fatal Shooting Under Investigation

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday evening in the unincorporated section of District Heights. The victim is 22-year-old Za’marco Fogg of District Heights. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.


On May 16, 2024, at approximately 7:00 pm, officers responded to the 6500 block of Hil Mar Drive for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, they located the victim in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
