Child Dies After Finding Gun

Roanoke police said they believe that a 4-year-old boy left alone in his father's Cadillac fatally shot himself after finding a gun in the car.

The boy was found dead in the front seat of the car early Friday evening, police said.

The child was sitting in the car while his father stood outside it and talked with someone, Capt. Rusty Ross said. No charges have been filed.

How horrible is that. When will people learn to lock guns up and keep them out of the reach of children? 4 years old? That just breaks my heart!

Actually, it says Roanoke (probably Virginia). I'm not sure what the laws are in VA.
