How many of you have attempted a faux finish on your walls and how hard is it to pull off and actually make it look good. I got a Better Homes and Gardens mag several weeks ago with what I thought was a faux finish on the cover. Come to find out it was wallpaper. I will not put wallpaper on my walls but would like to attempt the same effect via paint. I went to the hardware store yesterday and got one of the paint pamphlets with the faux finishes. It's called a stire finish. You paint, then put the glaze on then run a dry brush through the glaze. Am I asking for trouble?
