Is that your dog? How cute!!!!!

Yes. We rescued her in October of last year. She's 8 and fully trained. I knew she could get her dish, but haven't worked with her. Last night, I told her to get her dinner dish and she did. Tonight I got a pic.

So, does anyone tranquilize their dog during t-storms. She's panting and shaking again. I have my foot on her under the puter desk.......Any suggestions to make her not afraid?

Nice doggie, there BS Gal and DR.

Don't know what to tell you about calming her down, maybe just acting like it's normal (if that's possible)

Think a Benedryl will hurt her? Shes 72 pounds.

Vet told me to give the little one (18 lbs) whole or 1/2 of a .25mg Xanax. It seems to calm her if I give it to her before the storms hit:whistle: Not during, she is calming down now:yahoo:

There's a product on the market called an "anxiety wrap". It's basically a snug fitting type of dog jacket that's supposed to help calm them. You can also use ace bandage wrap and wrap it like you would your knee.

You can also use Rescue Remedy to take the edge off, or purchase a Thunderstorm CD and desensitize your pup, giving them treats and their favorite things when you play it.
