My best friend and I were coming back of college in La Plata on Route 6. If anyone remembers how it was in the early 80's before they redid it and straightened it out, it was a narrow twisty, turny mess for a portion of it. I was driving, came around one of the hairpin turns, saw a deer coming down the embankment next to the road, and then watched in awe as it sailed over my old Mustang, clearing it by a good two feet, and landed safely on the other side of the road.
