Matthew 7:1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
What you do is none of my business. What I do is none of your business. What a lonely life we would lead if we went through life feeling that way about everyone and everything...... IMHO.I'm not supposed to judge you.... or your actions.... or your beliefs. You must have good reason for the idiotic [IMO] decisions you make.... but I'm not supposed to judge. Sure I can have an opinion about what you are doing.... but my opinions are not going to stick.... I'm not your judge.
Let's face it. No one really knows all the rules about how to live life. Even the nicest, most kind, most generous person I know is a liar..... my pants really do make my butt look bigger and my hair is sticking up in an odd way.
Back in the days of Matthew and Jesus.... dogfood didn't come in bags or cans. Dogfood was scraps. Dogs hunted not just for scrap but for food. Back in the day..... people had to be careful with the meat they ate..... the food sacrificed.... was no longer food.... it was sacrificed.
I've seen the price of meat these days. I've seen the stories of people getting shot in Walmart over something ignorant. Hubby takes his life in his hands lately.... just doing the grocery shopping. How rude would it be for me to just throw out what ever meat he managed to find that we can afford? It's up to me to make sure it tastes it's best..... and it doesn't go in the neighbor's dog bowl in disgust. I have to show respect for the sacrifice he made just going to get the meat.
You just can't throw sacrificed meat to the dogs. It's not respectful.
