If this had been legal my mother in law wouldn't have commited suicide. I believe you should have the right to die, however you see fit. I'm glad Jack is back.baileydog said:

In an ideal world, giving everyone access to doctors to commit suicide (right to die) would be lovely. However, this is the real world. There are people who would abuse this (both doctors and patients) and it's just too much of a slippery slope to go down.rallwine2000 said:

i think if you are terminally ill you should have that option.

That is so sad. I totally agree on it should be a choice.

Dr Kavorkian promoted free will, a free will that includes your right to end your life when faced with a terminal illness that leads to a debilitating, slow, and painful death. He was willing to defy the government to make his point and spent 8 years in prison fighting for our rights to exercise our free will when faced with the worst.
Consider this. When you are lying in bed at the end of your life in excruciating pain and your doctor will not manage your pain to your satisfaction for fear of current DEA regulations that turn aggressive pain mangement doctors into drug pushers you may decide that Dr. Kavorkian should have been Sainted rather than jailed for fighting so hard to end your suffering.
