FEMA Staging in Michigan?

Sneakers

Just sneakin' around....
This is interesting. FEMA is using a decommissioned Air Force base to stage 350 trailers with emergency supplies for 6 counties in very rural Michigan. Typically, staging is done for impending or active disaster. Why in a rural area? And why aren't those trailer of supplies being used to assist the thousands of people still without power and resources in NC and TN? There may be a perfectly logical reason, but it does sound kind of suspect.

She's not the best presenter and I almost turned her off a few times, but I'd like to know too, why?

Very likely a nothing burger. There is a FEMA facility with trailers out the wazoo in WMd. As far as we can tell, not a single trailer was sent out in response to Helene.
