female general physicians

I am looking for a female doctor, just for general care. Prefer someone at Calvert Internal. Checked out the docs on their website. Anyone had good/bad experience with dr. Moody or Blattau? Any other female docs at Calvert Internal? Or recommendations in general in Calvert? I def want a woman doc, and very much prefer a very clear english speaking person. I have a minor hearing problem and strong accents really screw me up.
Also might seem like a stupid question but can you get birth control from a regular primary care physician?

I've had nothing but got experiences with Dr. Blattau. She takes the extra time to pull up a chair and listen to me and help me out with whatever I need. Even if it's nutrition pep talks. And yes, you can get BC from your PCP. They can do paps there too. I've been going there for several years. In the even I cannot see Dr. Blattau, I see Barb Patterson. She is equally as competent in my opinion.

Don't know about the doctors (currently shopping for a general practitioner myself), but yes. General practitioners can prescribe birth control, but I would be more inclined to ask your ob/gyn about it (if you are shopping for a new type) since that is more in line with their specialty and they will probably have more current information than a general practitioner.
