The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a libido-enhancing drug for women dubbed the "female Viagra".

Unlike Viagra, which affects blood flow to the genitals, Addyi is designed to help women regain their sex drive by boosting levels of brain chemicals.

Sprout said trials had shown an increase "in the number of satisfying sexual events", although experts suggest the test results were modest.

how many night club drinks is this going to end up in

:newroofies:

A whole lot of nights, nightclubs, and drinks. Seeing as this is not a Viagra-type one hour prior, like we'un guys have, this woman's pill is a long term project. It needs to be "taken for weeks to months in order to see any benefit at all", if any.

"This is not a drug you take an hour before you have sex. You have to take it for weeks and months in order to see any benefit at all," said Leonore Tiefer, a psychologist and sex therapist who organized a petition last month calling on the FDA to reject the drug.

Sprout, the manufacturer, apparently stacked the FDA hearing with their props, essentially shouting down any medical/psychiatric opposition to the drug.

"At an FDA meeting in June, more than 30 members of the public called for the drug's approval, frequently citing the Even the Score campaign. They vastly outnumbered speakers who spoke in opposition to the drug. At the meeting's conclusion, the panel of FDA advisers voted 18-6 to recommend approving the drug, with safety restrictions."

Try holding on to your, errrr, erection for that long.
