Fence Installers (Chain Link)

Anyone have any recommendations?

We just picked up a new puppy, and of course she has to have her back yard.

We are looking for people who could install a Chain Link Fence (200 feet total) with 2 gates and other little odds and ends..

I've tried Massey Fence in St. Mary's County, and Thomas Fence here in Calvert, but I know there are more out there. :shrug:

Had Thomas Fence do some fencing for us a few yrs ago, best price by far among fence companies and they were quick.

They wanted $1700 + for 200' of fence, 2 gates, and labor. 1 Year Warranty on everything.

Massey wants $1500 for all of that, and they had a lifetime warranty on parts and labor.

Our neighbor also has a Massey Fence and its nice, but I just wanted to know some competition out there, if there is any..

Massey was actually cheaper than Thomas or Long.. (Long fence is redic expensive)

and they were pretty decent.

I would go with Massey. When I bought my townhouse up here in waldorf, I wanted it sectioned off, for privacy, and Massey came through not only with awesome quality of work, but the price and service was unbeatable !

I recently used Massey, but there is McKee Fencing in Mechcanicsville and Clinton Fence, stay away from anything that says Long.

I'll try to find the number for the Lakes fencing company, they beat most everybody in price. Guardian also does them now, in Leonardtown.

I know some of the family too.

Had some vinyl fencing put up this past summer, they did a nice job.

The owner is a good friend of mine, and the guy that comes out and gives you an estimate is also a very honest person, if you tell them what you want you ll get your moneys worth and plus their usually cheaper with the same if not better materials.

If you want a competitive quote, you could try Arundel Fence and Deck. They installed a fence for me in Calvert County.

I used Linear Fence to build my fence, great price and they did a GREAT job. Everything was to my liking.

They did both a wrought iron fence for me and a horse fence.

We are having our front porch railings and posts replaced with vinyl. I contacted 5 companies for estimates in early January (I believe). Two of the 5 made appointments and didn't show up (or call). One of those two companies had been mentioned favorably here so I called them again. I am still waiting to hear from them. The other three companies did come out. Long was very expensive. Clinton was more reasonable but we still wanted to use a "local" company if possible. McGee was the best price and was the only one to mention a potential problem with placement of steps that neither of the other companies thought about. We'll be calling to set up installation in the next couple of weeks. Good luck with your fence!

Clinton Fence (Waldorf) fenced the back of my yard with 6 foot black vinyl-coated chain link over six years ago. They also put 6 foot pressure treated wood privacy fence on the sides. Still looks great with no problems. Their estimate was $2000 less than Long Fence.

I just got a fence around my pool and I had Linear Fence do the work and they did a GREAT job, everything was to my liking and built exactly how I wanted, they even helped me decide what kind of fence I wanted with samples.

They did such a great job i referred them to my neighbors for a deck.

I contacted them through their website and got a response the very next day.

Also one more thing, if you are worried about price, Linear Fence is very affordable, I had several companies come out to my house for an estimate and Linear Fence was by far the most affordable one and the easiest to make arrangements with, also they have free estimates .
