we have a litter of feral kittens in the barn on our farm. i would like to keep one as a pet, and a buddy for my big fat housecat. anyone know the right age to seperate the feral kitty from its mates? i know that if i wait too long it will be almost impossible to tame. thanks for any advice!

If they are truly feral, you won't be able to get near them after they open their eyes. If I were you, I'd contact a rescue group.

so far i can still handle them.

Then just keep handling them and give them treats. Socialization is the key. Hopefully, you will find homes for the rest of the litter or at least give them to a humane society.

their home is our farm. we feed and take care of our cats.

I guess you misunderstood or I did. I didn't imply that you didn't take care of your cats. So you'll be getting them spayed and neutered and shots. :yay:
