Yes. My neighbor spoke with one of the utility guys and he said Verizon Fios is coming to Woodland Park and then the rest to follow very very soon.

I suppose the orange markings from 235 to the end of Wildewood (labeled VZN) and going to every utility box are for new land lines?

This is total gossip but someone who supposedly that works with my husband supposedly stopped and spoke with them and told us that new Wildewood will get Fios, old Wildewood will not.
The new Wildewood is better than the old Wildewood stuck ups.

New Wildewoods gets all the cool stuff. The pool. The Fios. Sidewalks.
i doubt they are gonna run fiber all throughout the neighborhood........

I've been cautiously optimistic since that day a month or so ago when I saw them laying the fiber. I want FIOS almost as much as I'd like to see Wildewood Center turn into a Northern California / European like collection of small local shops where I can buy quality organic and/or farm-fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and quality wines for a reasonable price. But THAT will never happen and I suspected that FIOS availability in the less dense areas of Wildewood would have no better chance than the latter. I fully expected that it would end up blowing right on by within 100' of my house without so much as a "sorry about your luck" in passing. Ah well.
I wonder where the line separating the haves from the have nots will fall? I'm guessing somewhere past the retirement center. Hopefully they will eventually (after a few years) begin to expand back into adjacent lower density side-streets, but I wouldn't count on it or hold my breath.
