Preliminary Cause: Accidental

Additional Information: The cause of the accidental fire, located on the exterior of the residence, was the result of improperly discarded materials in the trashcan. As a result of the fire one adult and 2 children, as well as the occupants of a neighboring residence, were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Additional Information: The fire was the result of improperly discarded ground-based sparkling devices in an outside trashcan next to the Spring Valley Community Building. The building was unoccupied at the time of the incident. There were no injuries nor were any residents displaced as a result of the fire.
