Preliminary Cause: Under Investigation

Additional Information: The fire was discovered by the occupant of the home who was inside at the time of the fire. She sustained minor burns and smoke inhalation and was transported to MedStar Washington Hospital Center. While the fire remains under investigation, it is not suspicious in nature.

Area of Origin: Interior of the building

Preliminary Cause: Incendiary

Additional Information: The fire was discovered by a passing motorist and was witnessed on the interior the building before spreading to some surrounding brush on the exterior.
