FIREFOX 3.6.15 and NORTON

Firefox upgraded to 3.6.15 and now it won't connect to any site. I have removed the firefox.exe from the program launch for Norton Internet Security 2011 and while it detects it and shows "allow" Firefox doesn't seem to be getting beyond the firewall. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I have had no issues at all with that version of firefox and I am using Norton.

Firefox and AVG Free. No problems
