Okay, never run into this before, need help. When I try to go to the NMCI exchange mail server, Firefox automatically drops the http:// from the url. There is no "www" for this url. Then I get a message from ad aware saying that the address couldn't be found. Did I mention I've come to really despise ad aware?

Need some help to a) get to my mail, and b) completely eliminate ad aware (without violence or bloodshed).

You should be able to uninstall ad aware from your control panel.

While a true statement, FireFox does have a few compatibility issues with the Outlook WebMail.

If it's a one-time thing while you're on holiday, just use IE.
Yes it does so I just open IE for outlook webmail. That's the ONLY thing I use IE for. Firefox rocks for everything else.

NMCI web mail is not http its https ?
Also- Chrome is better then firefox for a lot of browsing.

https://webmail.east.nmci.navy.mil works with chrome for sure - however its really optimized for IE.

https://www.Militarycac.com has a lot of answers to these kinds of queries too.

hope this helps.

I might add, that if you are using Win7 (64 Bit) and have recently updated your CAC Card, there is an issue on some Dell Computers where your CAC Card reader will not read your CAC Card (It will read it, but your credentials are not there when viewed). They are there and nothing wrong with your computer since it will read on someone say using XP. And your version of Active Client is 6.2.0.50 then you need to update to something like 6.2.0.119 or later. See Problem #5 on the Militarycac site as posted above. This is especially an issue with Contractor Computers. Since some companies will put the current version and not actively support it. I used the info from Militarycac to fix my issue (6.2.0.168) after the network person shrugged his shoulders. This may help someone....

Did you ever notice that NMCI personnel are effectively useless unless they can remote into your machine?

The weblink is churning away on my NMCI computer, which, as you know, uses the [outdated] IE 7. I'm using web mail because my computer has gone back to not being able to RAS into the network. I think that's the default setting.
