Does anyone know where I can get firewood in the northern end of Calvert? Seasoned and delivered! I'm not seeing much offered this year around here. Thanks!

We bought our firewood last year from a guy who advertised in the "Pennysaver". He was on the St Marys side of the bridge though.

A guy from Lusby delivered our first batch of firewood last year, but did so in the pouring down rain & it was night time- so we couldn't even see to stack the firewood nor cover it up as it was raining really hard. Needless to say, by the time we got the firewood, we couldnt use it as it needed to dry out.

Not overcharged, in either case, but the guy on from the St Marys side of the bridge dumped the truck load of firewood into our front yard instead of waiting for my husband to get home from work (requested delivery time when we called them) to help dump it at the side area of our back yard.(we scheduled delivery but they arrived like 6 hours early..LOL) I'm not complaining, I'm glad they arrived early- it got cold that afternoon & we had firewood, but I had just had surgery & couldnt lift much, nor could I split the wood for burning.

Mixed blessing I suppose. We had firewood.. that's what mattered.
