They launched a handful of fireworks off while the sky was still light. We thought it was just someone launching a few off their pier. It actually took longer to walk from the truck to where we sat down than the fireworks lasted. Disappointed, but then again, it is St Mary’s county so one shouldn’t expect anything nice

There was a nice display last weekend at the Freedom Fest.

We ended up not going...just a little too muggy for either of us.

I did hear they weren't altogether that good or long. On the other hand, in the past, the fireworks were donated by the Taylors (Taylor Electric if I have my story straight), and I think they're set them off on their property (or at least that's what I've been told). If that's the case, that's pretty damn nice of them to do that and just one of LOTS of nice things in this county.
